Perfect

Villa San exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 12 adults (from 4 countries!) and we thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay. Everything mentioned by other reviewers is spot on. The Villa is stunning, luxurious, huge with plenty of space to relax in peace and comfort. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to ensure a great stay. Addy, in particular, impressed everyone with his quiet, competent care - and expert cocktails! The food and housekeeping were both excellent. Highly recommended.

5 star haven in Ubud centre

We were a group of 15 (4 kids) staying in Ubud - and Villa San was perfect. It is a beautiful villa - very close to the centre of Ubud - yet you step through the gates and the noise and hustle and bustle seems miles away. The grounds are perfectly kept and the villa is very clean and well maintained. The staff are the trump card however - and really made our stay. They were always there to do anything we needed - but also not hovering around. The chef was absolutely amazing- we ended up eating every meal in as it was so delicious - and also was cost effective as only paying for the ingredients. He did such a great job as we had one coeliac guest and a couple of "no onions" guests - and everyone was happy. One night we had the babi guling feast and the effort the whole staff went to - it was amazing and can truly recommend it. The dining was all set up outside with decorations and there was such a lovely atmosphere. A night for us all to remember. Adi the butler was also a star - he was wonderful being so accommodating of our motley crew - playing with the children and keeping the drinks cold for us - he was wonderful. All the staff were though - a real highlight - thank you. We hope to be back soon!

A quiet hidden gem

Villa San is tucked in a side street and is a short walk to the hustle and bustle of Ubud Centre yet is so serene and quiet. With 6 bedrooms, living and dining area to accommodate 13 of us, it is perfect for families or groups. Place is well maintained. Staff were absolutely attentive to our needs and the chef cooked for us several delicious meals. Villa manager Meka, concierge Adi, driver Kuta, were always available to make arrangements for our outings. We were spoilt.

Sensational Luxury Villa in heart of Ubud

Villa San is a beautiful six bedroom luxury villa in Ubud. We stayed for a wonderful week for a family celebration. The villa staff are extraordinarily attentive (thank you to Adi and Kuta especially), and cannot do enough for you. They are kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. The food is sensational, and it is wonderful having a driver and chef at your disposal for your stay. The villa itself is beautiful: stunning ensuite bathrooms for each room, gorgeous garden and fabulous huge pool. The villa is situated a five minute walk from the bustling centre of Ubud, but as soon as you enter its gates, you are in quiet luxurious serenity.

Large, well maintained villa, centrally located. Excellent and friendly staff

My group of 6 (3 couples all in their 30s) enjoyed 4 terrific nights at Villa San. Mika and his team tended to our every need and made sure we were happy, entertained, well fed, healthy, safe and mostly importantly they kept the Bintangs very chilled. I thought the villa was very well maintained, clean and located within a short walk of the shops and restaurants but also far enough away to avoid the noise. We would stay here again for sure.

wonderfull villa in Ubud center

We stayed 2 nights at villa San which is perfectly located near center of Ubud. The villa by itself is huge cosy and quiet with big bedrooms and many amenities. We wants to thank the friendly staff and especially Mika the manager as well for their kindness and understanding. They are really nice persons. We hope to be lucky to come back soon at villa San

My family and I stayed at Villa San for my 50th birthday and it was amazing in every way. The staff are wonderful, the food delicious, the setting tranquil and beautiful. We had our 4 year old grand daughter with us, and she was made so welcome and was spoilt by the staff. Nothing is too much for these guys! Thank you again!

Great location

All the staff were wonderful, couldn't do enough for us. It was within a short wlk to the centre of Ubud. Because we had booked events to the Ubud Writers Festival, this was invaluable.

Location

Villa San is located at a stone's throw from Ubud's Royal Palace, where cultural performances are held nightly. The location is also very convenient for many of Ubud's favourite treasures and attractions. While the property itself is very quiet and private, a vast, bustling local market is only 300m from the villa. A delightful variety of high quality restaurants and cafes can be found in and around the centre of town. Guests can also gain easy access to Ubud and her surrounding villages which are rich in art and craft and learn to cook local food, carve a wooden mask, dye a batik scarf, dance in a traditional performance, play an ancient brass musical instrument, or attend a life drawing session.

Cancellation Policy

If the Guest wishes to cancel a confirmed booking, written notice of cancellation must be sent to the manager. All cancellation notices received by the manager will be acknowledged in writing. It is strongly recommended that the Guest and all members of the Guest's party purchase trip cancellation insurance.

Cancellation of a booking includes but is not limited to:
* Cancellation of one or more days of a booking.
* An amendment of a booking so that none of the dates of the booking once amended fall within the same dates that originally constituted the booking.
* Failure of all Guests to provide the required documentation on arrival (eg. Passports or suitable identification).
* Attempt by the Guest, their party or visitors to hold an event at the Property in breach of these Terms and Conditions or breach of any rules applicable to the Guest's chosen Property.

In the event that the Guest cancels a confirmed booking, the following cancellation fees will generally apply:
* 20% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 60 days before the start of the rental period.
* 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 30 and 60 days before the start of the rental period.
* 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 29 days before the start of the rental period.

The applicable amount will be deducted from the deposit and moneys paid, and the manager will refund any remaining balance to the Guest.

Please note that these cancellation terms apply for regular booking periods. Special cancellation terms may apply for peak/high seasons and will be stated in the Property description, booking confirmation or reservation voucher. If the information in any of these is inconsistent, the most recently issued terms will prevail.

Payment Terms

Payment:
When the Guest makes a booking request, the Guest must make the appropriate deposit payment to EH within 5 working days of availability confirmation. If the required deposit payment is not received within the 5 working day period, EH reserves the right to void the Guest’s booking request. The following deposit payment applicable to most villas (see individual villa terms for full details) must be received by EH:
For villas in Indonesia, Thailand and Sri Lanka:
For rentals beginning more than 75 days after the date of the booking request – a deposit of 20% of the total rental amount is payable For rentals beginning 75 days or less after the date of the booking request – the total rental amount is payable as a deposit
Where a 20% deposit applies to the booking, the Guest must pay the remaining 80% balance not less than 75 days before the scheduled arrival date.
For all other countries:
For rentals beginning more than 60 days after the date of the booking request – a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount is payable For rentals beginning 60 days or less after the date of the booking request – the total rental amount is payable as a deposit
Where a 50% deposit applies to the booking, the Guest must pay the remaining 50% balance not less than 60 days before the scheduled arrival date.

Description

6-bedroom luxury pool villa absolutely private

Villa San is a private and serene oasis in central Bali about a few minutes away from sensational shopping, superb spas, classic cultural performances and luxuriant rice fields. Impressively decorated with handicrafts from China, Africa and Indonesia, it can comfortably accommodate 12 people in six large bedrooms. These buildings surround a 25m lap pool and set within lush gardens which incorporate elegant sculptures and a tranquil meditation terrace. The villa also has a loft studio for painting, a telescope for star-gazing from the rooftop terrace at night, and a Buddhist stupa and yoga terrace tucked in a quiet corner of the property for group or individual meditation and yoga practice.

Villa San comprises six large bedrooms - three doubles and three twins. The master suite, comprises two very generous sized bedrooms (one king-bedded and one twin-bedded) separated by a similarly large and comfortable family room, with state-of-the-art home entertainment system. The well-appointed ensuite bathrooms can accessed through large dressing rooms. Separate buildings around the main living pavilion house two queen bedrooms and two twin bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms featuring large tubs and showers. Two extra beds are available for children, on request. Each room is equipped with ceiling fans, air conditioners and iPod docks and furnished with a desk, bedside tables and reading lights.

French doors from all the bedroom pavilions look out over tranquil gardens, only steps away from the long sloping lawn and the inviting pool. Pool loungers, hammocks and casual seating shaded by sun umbrellas are comfortably arranged throughout villa San's well-kept gardens, while a covered gazebo seating 12-15 lies at the far end of the pool. Tucked away in a quiet corner behind the master suite is a tree-shaded terrace for yoga practice and behind it, a traditional stone stupa which offers the perfect place for moments of peaceful reflection. A friendly, helpful team of staff are on hand around the clock, with a butler and chef available to meet every request.
